We have now split our IAF Communications Lists to send general information to a large number of people, including people outside of the Council of Delegates, like conservation officials, cultural centres, falconers who have no club affiliation, politicians and anyone who expresses an interest in falconry.
Now the more sensitive information only goes directly to Official Delegates and Club Representativesand from now on all emails with a PLAIN TEXT HEADER, like this one, will only go to Delegates and Official Club Representatives; then it is for them to decide whether to forward it to their own committees and club members.
To differentiate between crucial IAF material and less important informative material, please note that all eNewsletters sent with a banner pictorial header are of a more general interest to a much wider audience and are sent to all our contacts, including people who request eNewsletters on the website. Furthermore we would ask you to please forward these general information (pictorial) eNewsletters to your all of your own mailing lists, including forwarding the email to your club secretary or communications officer for them to forward in turn to all your members.
It is important for all falconers to know what we are doing in IAF and we rely on Delegates to disseminate information to the people they represent. Artcie 5.3 of the IAF Constitution to which allmember organizations muct adhere states: "5.3. The National Delegates shall represent and report decisions of the Council and activities of the I.A.F. to their Member Organisations or Associate Member Organisation".
